How Jabo/Vitro glass is made
Our finished glass products are made from select recycled glass from various sources.
Recycled glass already has coloring agents in it. What we do is sort this glass into batches for our clear and opaque products. The most mixing of colors between batches is for our Classic marbles. Luster pieces are the same as our regular products, with the addition of special luster compound sprayed on them as they leave the furnace.

About product images
The product images in this site were digitally photographed at our corporate office in Parkersburg, WV. In each photograph are sample pieces we had on hand from various dates of manufacture. We used photo imaging software to process each image for purposes of pixel uniformity and adjusting brightness/contrast and saturation for image-to-image continuity. In some of our sample pieces, there are indeed some air bubbles. When we resize our images down to fit in this window, most of these air bubbles disappear, due to pixel "scrunching". So, tiny air bubbles do not show up in our product images.
As recycled glass pieces, we take great care in maintaining consistency throughout each run. However, variables inevitably exist which may result in minor differences in color hue, the depth of color, air bubbles and luster finish. We've also taken great care in ensuring the images we've developed match our products as closely as reasonably possible, to assure you, our valued customer, of quality products for your enjoyment.
Items viewed on a computer monitor can vary greatly from four-color process printing, like you see in various magazines and catalogs. As much as we'd like to believe otherwise, there is no reasonable way we can presume your monitor will display our product images like the ones we used to develop them, as monitors differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.
